Another Spring Break, Another EIF Spring Special Tournament Championship at Stake
As spring break arrives for some and has already passed for others, everyone can take a minute and reflect on the season. Whether it be Speech and Debate or just life in general, it never hurts to stop and breathe for a bit and take it all in. As the wind blows us into the final few tournaments of the season, Equality in Forensics is committed to helping everyone out through the final stretch.
In this newsletter, we will cover Equality in Forensics’ Spring Special Tournament, scrimmage results, and weekly publications.
“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.”

Red Folder: In domestic news, read about Trump's holistic environmental policy, controversial statements from the new education secretary, Blackrock buying out ports in the Panama Canal, and a Democratic identity crisis following the 2024 election. In international news, read about elections in Guinea Bissau, a change in Canadian leadership, a race to acquire African minerals, and Ukraine's struggling war efforts.
Blog: In this week’s edition of the blog, read upon the ways debaters as a community can overcome the initial high entry barrier into the world of progressive LD debate and how the community at large can support emerging debaters.
“On top of that, entering the world of prog LD can seem scary — from the different arguments read to the fast speaking, it can feel impossible and overwhelming... Now, over a year and a half later, I’ve found so many resources that have helped me enter and love progressive LD. With a bit of organization and wiki-mining, the activity has become so much less scary, and so much more fun.”
